Verification policy

Every Leader profile (and every Company posting a leadership need) is reviewed before it becomes visible on the Platform.

Purpose of verification

Verification exists so that Companies can trust a profile is genuine before spending time on it, and so Leaders are only matched against genuine company needs. It is a review carried out by our team to the best of our knowledge, based on the information and documents provided. It is not an independent background check or a legal guarantee.

What we check for leader profiles

  • Plausibility of identity: the name, contact details and information provided are internally consistent and do not show obvious signs of impersonation.
  • CV and professional history: the submitted CV and stated work experience are reviewed for consistency with the profile's claimed seniority and functional focus.
  • LinkedIn profile: where provided, cross-checked against the CV and profile for consistency (name, roles, dates, employers).
  • Leadership experience: evidence of genuine senior or executive-level experience relevant to the function(s) the Leader offers (e.g. CFO, CTO, CMO, COO, CHRO, CRO).

What we check for company needs

For Companies, we confirm that the organisation exists and that the person posting a leadership need is plausibly authorised to act on the company's behalf, before the need becomes visible to Leaders.

What we do not guarantee

Verification is not a guarantee of a Leader's or Company's suitability, character, current availability, financial standing, or performance in a mandate. It does not amount to legal, tax or professional due diligence, and Users remain responsible for their own assessment before entering into a mandate.

Consequences of false information

A profile or need that contains materially false or misleading information will be rejected, or, if already published, suspended or permanently removed. Repeated or intentional misrepresentation may lead to permanent account suspension, and, where the resulting harm is significant (e.g. a fraudulent profile that led to a refund under the Refund Policy), further steps at Tessara's discretion.

Re-review

A rejected or suspended profile can request re-review by contacting support@tessara.ch and addressing the reason for rejection or suspension. Verification is also repeated periodically for published profiles, not only once at sign-up.
